Lamentations 3:38—Do not both adversity and good come from the mouth of the Most High? Strength As One We gather around a tragedy for lessons large and small That tried us to the limit or raised us from a fall. Calamity is just an act that fades with time and seasons We question why not always sure if we will know the reasons. We gather around a tragedy where greed and power unmask If foul agendas flourish we know they cannot last. Disasters often have a source; an origin based in evil We do not let them overcome despite the great upheaval. We gather around a tragedy and learn that we must die To all the wrong agendas and the supercilious lies. Distortions and contortions bring unneeded pain. It’s time we band together and stand in Jesus’ name. We gather around a tragedy and find within our soul Faith and hope are stronger for God is in control. Accidents and upsets may tear at every peace Yet burdens given back to Him bring guaranteed release. We gather around a tragedy that kind that no one chooses Remembering His grace will always bring us through it. Mishaps, blows and mourning sources strike us where we stand But underneath our sorrow is a joy that can’t be banned. We gather around a tragedy and life slows to a crawl Values are reexamined and noise that chaos caused Catastrophe and atrophy are pains the world endures ‘Til Jesus comes to reign supreme and bring His holy cure. We gather around a tragedy and find there’s power together That when we row in unison we brave the wind and weather. The light we shine, the Spirit’s work—reflection of the Son. Our victory, our heritage is firm with strength as one. Inspiration When I make a fist, it's strong, and you can't tear it apart. As long as there's unity, there's strength.—Ara Parseghian ©2020 Daniel York ARR. Reveration is the weekly devotional ministry of First Cause.
