Democratic Republic of Congo Trip 2
​July 19-23, 2018

Day 1: Dan York, accompanied by Pastor Justin Muhubao, spoke to over 300 pastors, missionaries and leaders on The Strong Leader's Hand at a church in Goma. What a great time of interaction. In the evening they met with several businessmen to share with them hydroponic greenhouses and what a game changer they are in farming. 

Day 2: Speedboat ride from Goma to Bukavu--really nice trip of 4+ hours on Lake Kivu. From there Pastor Justin, and Dan headed to Horizon Hotel--a big NGO hangout. In the afternoon Dan spoke on The Strong Leader's hand at a church in Bukavu to about 300+ pastors and leaders.  The choirs (as is always true for Africa) are absolutely amazing. 

Day 3: Dan spoke on "Be Like Joseph" at Penuel Church Bukavu. Reverend Batu's gracious team fed us an incredible meal. I love the wide variety of fruits here!

​September 28-October 4, 2014

David Joel, Jerry Anze, Les Knotts and Dan York stayed in the home of Reverend Tshisungu and his vivacious wife, Jackie. Though we could not speak French and they could not speak English, it did not matter. They truly made us family. Rev. Tshisungu set up our week and, wow, it was packed. We arrived on the evening of September 28th, 2014 and immediately were whisked through heavy traffic from the airport to Rev T's church and a glorious reception. For the next five days ,we would speak twelve times, engage in several office visits with dignitaries and eat more good food than should be allowed. 

We met with senior military and police officials, business and political leaders, and church leaders and laymen. Our theme was six essential qualities every leader must possess to be successful from The Strong Leader's Hand, and "Love is the Foundation of Effective Ethics."  The team was extremely well received opening up the opportunity for a return trip in 2018.
