After assessing the damage, a meeting of archangels was called, and a report was submitted to God by what could easily be described as a shocked team. Fortunately, the omniscient Father, much as He did with Moses after the prophet smashed the first stone carvings of the Ten Commandments, recreated all the data by memory and, through His Son, wholly restored the BoL.
Meditation Ephesians 1:11-12--We have also received an inheritance in Him, predestined according to the purpose of the One who works out everything in agreement with the decision of His will, so that we who had already put our hope in the Messiah might bring praise to His glory. Isn’t it comforting to know that the above scenario could never occur and that we have an inheritance secure from all attacks, made perfect by a God who does not change His mind or renege on His promises? If our hope is in Christ, our future is secure. Paul, after sharing with the Ephesians about their inheritance, further elaborated on the immensity of what they would receive when he wrote: I pray that the perception of your mind may be enlightened so you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the glorious riches of His inheritance among the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power to us who believe, according to the working of His vast strength (1:18,19) Peter reminded his readers (and us) of what we have to look forward to one day: Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to His great mercy, He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead and into an inheritance that is imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading, kept in heaven for you. You are being protected by God’s power through faith for a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time (1 Pet 1:3-5). Our inheritance is described by three powerful words: imperishable, uncorrupted, and unfading. It is safe in heaven through God’s incredible protective power. No thief can steal it. No fraud can forge it. No force of nature can destroy. Are we blessed? Beyond this world! Are we encouraged? How could we not be? Something to think about . . . in reveration! That's right, brother Dan. Everything in our temporal world is vulnerable to corruption, whether our digital data, or our flesh, or our front lawn. We need that 1 Peter assurance of an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled that fadeth not away, especially when we undergo suffering as the "strangers" in 1 Peter.
