1 Chronicles 16:23-25--Sing to the Lord, all the earth. Proclaim His salvation from day to day. Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples. For the Lord is great and highly praised; He is feared above all gods. Mike knows he should not have left Vietnam alive. His gratitude to God for saving his life translates into a conviction to share the incredible story of God speaking to him whenever he has the opportunity. How about you? Do you have a story of when God nudged, directed, or led you to do something that changed your life? Can you think of a time when He spoke? There are billions of people desperate to fill an internal vacuum of restlessness, despair, and fear over living an empty life and what happens after they die. Your story is incredibly important whether God spoke and saved you from a mortar round or introduced you to His Son and transformed your lostness into a life of meaning and purpose. God will speak. We need to trust Him and listen and then have the courage to share with others what He has done for us. Something to think about . . . in reveration! Inspiration “I want to remember that God’s will is for all people to be rescued and that He has chosen us to tell them where to find that rescue. Remembering this helps keep everything in perspective.”—Willie Robertson in The Duck Commander Devotional ©2024 Daniel York ARR. Reveration is the weekly devotional ministry of First Cause. What a relief to be divinely rescued from death. Yet we wonder, dare I treat my Father with contempt and expect to be bailed out of crisis? Long ago, Keith Green warned against worldliness in a song. He imagined a heavenly father’s lament, “my word sits there upon your desk, but you love your books and magazines the best” (today he might use internet browsing as the symptom of worldliness).
