Daniel Refused to Compromise
A. He determined not to consume the king’s food or drink—Daniel 1:8—King Nebuchadnezzar ordered Ashpenaz, the chief of his court officials to feed the most promising young men the best of his food and wine. Daniel was willing to be tested to show that his decision was better—1:12-15.
B. He upheld truth—5:22-28. He gave King Belshazzar terminal news.
C. He maintained his testimony—6:10, even though he knew it would bring a death sentence—6:6-9, 22.
D. He confessed sin—9:4-14; 1 John 1:9
II. Understand Your Gifting [Wisdom & Vision] CliftonStrengths
A. He knew God gifted him with knowledge, understanding and the ability to understand visions and dreams—1:17, 2:19,21,22; 4:8,9,18.
B. Each King/Leader recognized his value—1:19,20; 2:48; 5:11,12,14.
III. Live Wisely [Wisdom, Conduct, Teamwork]
A. He modeled tact, discretion and faith when his life was threatened—2:12-14; 6:17—He makes no attempt to escape a death trap.
