Mega Shift

​Often I find Christians in the United States discouraged, wondering why it seems like there is little activity by God in our land. There is a sense that our nation is increasingly secular and a growing unease.  I believe that materialism is a far greater threat to the growth of our faith than outright opposition.  Why do I say this?  My friends who face suffering, prison or the loss or rights because of their walk with God actually find renewal and supernatural strength in the testing of their faith.   While those who live in comfort find it hard to die to self and actively proclaim truth. Yet contrary to what many of us may be thinking—there is a major work of God going on around much of the globe.

Meditation
Acts 14:3—So they stayed there for some time and spoke boldly in reliance on the Lord, who testified to the message of His grace by granting that signs and wonders be performed through them.  
 
We know because of the context and the reference that the passage above refers to Paul and his team.  But did you know that this verse could easily describe countless places around the world where God is performing signs and wonders through His faithful servants?  I highly encourage you to purchase the book Mega Shiftby James Rutz.  James’ careful research shows that “most of the ‘evangelism miracles’ in China are healings, whereas in India they are more often power confrontations—demonic deliverances or spiritual “turf battles” for a town or neighborhood under Satanic dominance.”[1]  James and his researchers estimate “ that there are probably, at a guess, 350 Christians in India whom God has directly taught to read.”[2]  Did you catch that!  Christians with no formal education or home schooling under the Holy Spirit’s tutelage learned to read His Word.  

Entire North African Muslim villages in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria and closed nations in the Middle East are coming to faith in Jesus as a result of shared dreams and supernatural visions.  Contrary to what we hear in our media, the fastest growing movement in the world by far is Christianity.  “There has never been a time like this.  The new spearhead of the kingdom is 707 million strong and adding two more each second.  God is winning!”[3]  People are being raised from the dead, those with incurable diseases like AIDS are healed and prayers of God’s children are answered in spectacular ways for the promotion of His Kingdom!

Are you willing to believe that God can still work miracles?  Do you want to have your faith strengthened?  Do you need a reminder about what priorities should really matter? I have seen what God can do when Christians engage in prayer walking.  But that is a drop in the bucket compared to what I have not seen! He protects and preserves His people in the most dangerous settings.  He frees adults and children from bondage so that they might know Christ. Read Mega Shiftand share it with your friends.  Be encouraged!  Let’s ask our Lord to wake up our nation and renew it with the only hope that matters—life in His name!
