What makes First Cause somewhat unique can be found by looking at 2 Timothy 2:2--"And what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." This is a four generation verse: Paul-Timothy-Faithful men--Others with the same qualities. Now juxtapose this with Jesus' final command to His disciples and us in Matthew 28:19,20--"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you . . ."

Most churches around the world make disciples. In other words, there are plenty of people following Jesus. But what is lacking is making disciples who make disciples. In other words, the church around the world is woefully lacking in reproduction. Jesus never said, "Go and raise up pastors and be dependent upon them." He said go and make disciples—followers who raise up followers. So our First Cause mission is simple: Proclaiming the Gospel; Making Disciple Makers in every Nation.
